It was the best of times, it was the craziest of times

3 months. It's been 3 months. 3. 3 months of craziness. 3 months of missing my blog, but 3 months of so much overwhelming lifedom that the sheer mass of excitement and craziness has paralyzed me from blogging. Over a year ago I started this blog; this post marks the beginning of a new year of online confessions for me. It's good to see you again, friends.

So what have I been up to? Here's the reader's digest ve
rsion.

For the freshness of events, let's go backwards in t
ime:

Halloween 2011--I made a wreath that replicated the one on the front cover of Modern Family magazine. Everyone kept asking me if I was going to give
out candy corn for Halloween. No silly. I give out the good candy; I hot glue the crappy candy to a wreath.

Russell and I, once again, dressed up like a famous TV couple. This time, we had a wardrobe malfunction with Russell's hair. Yes, that is a green-haired Zack M
orris.

I, of course, made our costumes. I must say I'm pretty proud of the way my stellar Kelly Kapawski sweatshirt came out.

I FINALLY got to see my beloved Camilo after a year of sadly being apart. Oh, and we made cupcakes. Riot. Ri-ot. It was not your regular Martha Stewart show.

I got free tickets from a friend to see Guster. Up close and personal. Loved it. Need more concerts. Soon.

Russell and I discovered Orange Leaf self-serve frozen yogurt. We proceeded to sell our souls to frozen yogurt and become bankrupt because of our obsession. (That's Red Velvet LOW FAT yogurt. Are you feeling the awesomeness?)

Russell and I left Kansas City after almost a year to follow our dreams back home in Wichita. KC was first city we both lived in at the same time (if you'll recall, we dated long distance for around 1.5 years).

It's the city where we continued to fall in love. The city we grew up in. The city we ate BBQ in.

It's also the city where I got this:

August 14, 2010 I got asked by the most awesome man in the world if I would marry him.

July 2, 2011 I will marry that wonderful man.

Let the craziness continue...

  1. Good to have you back to the blogging world. Love the costume!! Also, southern hemisphere people love candy corn. Like, a lot. I tried to explain how it is cheap and boring.
